Frescobol for FREE!!!!

Plymouth’s budding entrepreneurs are being invited to a special business event at Astor Playing Fields on Friday 30^th July where they can find free advice and information on starting their own business. The Picnic in the Park will take place between 12noon and 3pm and promises to be a great fun event for all the family.

As well as exhibition stands with lots of free advice and guidance there will be live music and the chance to play the fun new sport Frescobol. 13 to 19 year olds can also find out about running a real business with the Whiz Kids Business Club.

Councillor Ted Fry, Cabinet Member for Planning, Strategic Housing and Economic Development said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in starting up a business or working for themselves to find out more about how to avoid some of the pitfalls and make it a success.”

Plymouth City Council is organising the event at Astor Playing Fields in conjunction with Outset Plymouth, a jargon-free, flexible, free training and mentoring programme in Plymouth’s city centre. Council staff, business advisors, local agencies and local business owners will be on hand to answer questions and provide some valuable information.
