To start playing Frescobol you must initially hit the ball gently, then gradually increase the power of the strikes and attain a working rhythm. After some practice you will see that it is quite easy to achieve 20 strokes per minute.
FOR COMPETITION
There are two types of Frescobol categories: AMT (AMD) – Amateur & PRO (PRO) – Professional The types of Frescobol presentation are: Pair (Double) – Male, Female and Mix. Two players standing on opposite sides of the game area facing each other. Trio (Triple) – Male, Female and Mix. Three players arranged in the form of a triangle in the game area, with one ‘principal’ player on one side of the arena and two standing opposite. During the presentation the players should swap the position of the principal player.
Everyone can practice Frescobol regardless of age, gender, weight or height. Before each match it is important to stretch the muscles well, especially the thigh and upper-body (triceps, biceps, back and chest) as well as the neck, to avoid injuries. Don’t forget the hips as they are very important in the Frescobol movements. |
